Repair minor damage to Belgian blue stone
Smaller repairs (up to a diameter of 2 cm) in blue stone can be carried out quickly and easily with the ready-to-use product Akemi Marmorkitt Thixo color dark grey.
Advantages of this product:
- Immediately on the color of blue stone
- By sanding with grit 40 to 60 you make the glue light gray
- Sanding with fine grains makes the glue darker.
- FYI: with honed bluestone, sand the glue with grit 400.
- UV stable
- Stable, non-sloping, thixotropic consistency. Can be used both horizontally and vertically.
Method:
- Degrease the area to be repaired with Cleaner A, which you can also use to remove UNcured adhesive residues, as well as to clean your material.
- Removing small oil and grease stains on blue stone is also very good with this cleaner.
- Take a quantity of product from the can and add 1 to 2% hardener paste. Mix until a nice homogeneous mixture and carry out the repair within the processing time of 5 to 10 minutes.
- Marmorkitt has a small shrinkage of 2-3% so keep this in mind.
- After about 20-30 minutes, the repair is cured and ready for further processing (drilling, sanding, polishing,…).
