Removing rust stains
1. You can easily remove superficial rust stains with Akemi Anti Rust Marble:
Safe for all stone types: marble, granite, blue stone, bricks, concrete, concrete pavers, ceramic tiles,...
- Apply undiluted and generously to the affected area.
- Leave on for 5-10 minutes. If necessary, help mechanically with a brush.
- Then rinse well with water.
- Repeat the previous steps in case of very strong corrosion.
- It is advisable to protect the stone after a successful treatment with either AKEMI® Stone Impregnator or AKEMI® Anti-stain in order to additionally prevent the penetration of water and thus renewed rust.
2. Deep-seated rust discoloration in granite can be removed with Akemi Anti Rust:
- Apply undiluted to an absolutely dry stone.
- To avoid color differences, it is advisable to treat the entire surface.
- Let it work for 30 minutes, but in case of stubborn rust, let it work for up to 24 hours (cover with foil so that the product does not dry up)
- Rinse with water until all traces of the anti-rust have been removed.
- In the case of very strong rust attack, repeat the above on dry stone.
- It is advisable to protect the stone after a successful treatment of your choice with AKEMI® stone impregnator or AKEMi® anti-stain in order to additionally prevent the penetration of water and thus renewed rust.
- Only suitable for acid-resistant stones such as Granite. Do not use on non-acid-sensitive materials and calcareous natural stone such as marble, blue limestone, ...
